♪ we're leaving on a jet plane ♪
All six of us.
Two days before leaving is the exact moment to notice your five year old has just one pair of pants. A dozen pair of shorts, but only one pair of pants. And also no matching socks. Lucky for me, Uncle Jake has been happy to help occupy the littlest of the bunch so I could get laundry and packing completed. I'm pretty sure Luke has asked him to read Blueberry Sal at least fourteen times. Twice in a squeaky voice. As if that weren't good enough, that sweet brother of mine timed a school he needed so he could hang here with the animals and watch the house for us while we're out. He's a good one, for sure.
By noon tomorrow we'll be in New England. After plane to rental car transfer and a three hour road trip, we will arrive in Joe's home town in upstate NY. It's been seven years since we've been back. So much has happened in that time. So many stories to share and catch up on. So much growing up in all the kids. So many grandparents, aunts, uncles & cousins to see. Just so much.
I'll be away from this space for the next week..... but I've planned a week of sweet & simple posts for you. You all will roll out the welcome mat for the new sponsors too, right?
I'll be seeing you soon.
