Today I have a few words and amazing photos to share from my friend and Gypsy Forest sponsor Kimberly Peck:
Artist Kimberly Peck received her first camera at the age of seven, fell in love with farms in first grade, and now creates organic free-range photography in the Monadnock Region of southern New Hampshire.Through her art, she strives to show not only the passion that farmers have for what they do, but also to connect farmers and communities through the visual narrative of photography. “I want people to see who is producing our food and to understand the hard work that goes into real farming. Looking at the photographs compels us to think about what’s on our plate and who grew it,” she says. Raised in Vermont, Kim focuses most of her work on agricultural photography (think small organic farms + real food). In 2013 she published her first book, Farm. Food. Life: Photographs + Recipes Inspired by Local Farms. Featuring 12 farms, with delicious recipes to accompany each profile, the book showcases local farms and real food.
Kim is offering one winner a copy of her book, Farm. Food. Life! In addition, receive 25% off all orders through December 5 using coupon code FARMFOODLIFE25. (The calendars are gorgeous! I bought one for myslef and one for a gift!)
